Afghanistan women must be seen heard and present.

Afghanistan Women's Justice Movement
The Afghanistan Women's Justice Movement is an independent, grassroots human rights organization dedicated to the advancement and protection of women's rights in Afghanistan. Founded to combat systemic oppression and marginalization, we work tirelessly to fight gender-based violence, challenge discriminatory laws, and amplify Afghan women's voices both domestically and internationally.
Through advocacy, legal support, public awareness, and international engagement, our goal is to build a just and equitable society where women can live with dignity, freedom, and full participation.
The Afghanistan Women's Justice Movement was born from a profound crisis. On August 15, 2021, when the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan, two decades of progress for women's rights and civil liberties were reversed overnight. Afghan women were systematically stripped of their basic freedoms—the right to education, employment, public life, and even movement without a male guardian. Civil society was silenced, activists threatened, and women's voices pushed into the shadows.
In response to this crisis, courageous Afghan women—activists, lawyers, students, teachers, and professionals—came together to form the Afghanistan Women's Justice Movement. We refused to accept the erasure of women from society. Today, our movement serves as a powerful platform for advocacy, resistance, and hope. We work tirelessly to defend human rights, amplify women's voices, and demand justice.
We strive to build a free, aware, and independent society.
